Some see potential, beauty, treasure and value on things others see as ugly, damaged, dispensable, trash.

Wife: Hey, someone threw a custom frame by the garbage dumpster. I will pretend to throw a trash so we can go back and check it out.
Me: Really? Okay.
Excited, I didn’t think twice and just grabbed the postcard print of the Eiffel Tower on a custom frame standing next to the dumpster.
On the way back to our apartment, wife asked if I should have check it first. I replied, “It looks fine. We can glue the damage part and paint over the print.” Wife did not waste time to Google a sample painting of one of her favorite Artist, BenCab. She showed me several pictures and said, “Can you make something similar? I replied, “Sure, but I won’t copy it. I will paint my own version of it.”

Today, our first couple trash to treasure Art project has become a valuable centerpiece in our living room not because of its price tag but because it was created from the heart.

Wife is happy, I’m happy. Both in life and relationships, this matters the most. Priceless? Definitely.
That is beautiful! I have saved some really old frames hoping to use them in some way. I was thinking of making one into a coffee table. I would need a lot of work with a bottom and top, legs, etc. but I think it would be so cool.

That’s a beautiful frame and a beautiful painting, too! ”Some see the potential, beauty, treasure and value on things others see as ugly, damaged, dispensable, trash” – I couldn’t have said it better 🙂

Until I got my second vaccine, I wouldn’t venture out to think about other people trash, but maybe in a few weeks, I will venture out, still with a mask, but roam a little.
