Can’t really go anywhere. Traveling is but a past teasing the heart to dream, crave, wish.
Sanity and joy elusive yet no matter, an exhilarating thrill to constantly chase.
Stories interconnect. Stories relived to make sense of today and bring hope for tomorrow.
This year, this blog will bring me back to where I was at this time at a given point in time of choosing. A time where I was free. A time where I was happy. A time when I can go anywhere at a whim and living in the moment was genuinely real. A time when a surprise feels truly like a surprise in all its spontaneity.

So, where was I at this very day last year? I was at Ocean Beach enjoying a sunset with the people who gives me reason to see life as an infinite bowl full of beautiful adventures and moments.
Like you , we are hoping to get back to travelling again soon . I am so excited that I found your Blog.

Same here. The pandemic help us discover and rediscover things that otherwise we wouldn’t have given much time or thought when traveling was at its peak and we were free to do anything. Stay safe and blessed always. Thanks.

That is a beautiful image of Ocean Beach. It certainly does all feel elusive these days but it will happen again one day. I believe it. Let’s hope it comes again soon enough.

Thanks. It’s our getaway when visiting SF though after seeing downtown SF last year, we prefer to just enjoy this side of the city as well as near Golden Gate Bridge. Anything close to the ocean help mask the devastating effects of the pandemic. SF until safe travel begins will be far from what it was before COVID but this shouldn’t stop anyone from enjoying the most beautiful city by the bay. There’s still lots of magic & awesomeness when we truly want to find them.

I can only imagine the devastation to the city and inner city in SF. And I agree with you, we’ve been avoiding downtown and urban areas and sticking to more spread out urban and nature areas. It’ll be a much local roadtrip again this summer for our family.
Very nice to hear from you and take care!

What a fabulous shot. Pandemic fatigue is real and as much as I try to be grateful for all that I have (and I usually am most days), it’s sometimes tough not to feel a bit bummed about not being about to travel. Someday. Hopefully soon. For now, we’ll just travel through our past and relive some of the happy moments.

True. Happy memories brings us back to where we needed to be & discovering local adventures helps feeling less deprived of traveling to places before COVID. Wishing you great adventures ahead.

Very beautiful photo. Maybe we can’t adventure like we did in past years, but where there is a will there is a way! I believe we can still make our own adventures.

Amen to that. Adventure begins from the heart. When we feel it, road and opportunities just magically appears. If we live adventure everyday, life will be more exciting & optimistic. Stay safe.

I saw where the road near Big Sur was completely taken out by a mud slide. My first thought was, “Hey, that’s we’re Isalnd Traveler likes to go. I hope they fix it fast.”

Thanks. Hope you had an amazing time driving coastal Hwy 1. We recently drove past the bridge for son’s Winter Break, wife got scared that it may be dangerous to drive further. The view I think just before and after Bixby is the most dramatic & fun. Happy Spring my friend. So much God’s blessings and adventures ahead. Stay safe.

We are lucky to be healthy and thankful to be healthy during this time, but we are seriously missing travel right now. Looking back on our travel memories has been a pleasurable pastime of mine lately. Take care 🙂 Aiva
