Fall Wreath, Something Old, Something New

The old wreath of spiky greens and rusty pine cones hangs on our door all year round. We bought it one post Christmas clearance from Target.

Last night, my wife and I went to Michaels and got some berries and vintage-looking pumpkins at 50% off. Big sale discounts are instant exciting cheers, holiday or not.

Woke up this morning with the scent of Pumpkin Spice followed by a delicious taste of Peppermint Mocha flavored coffee.

While enjoying my wife’s Something Old, Something New Fall DIY decor, I am reminded that “Home is where our new happier stories are allowed to begin.”

A beautiful weekend to all. Thank you for sharing the adventure.

  6. So crafty to add fall decorations to an existing wreath. It turned out really nicely. And who doesn’t love the smell of pumpkin spice!? I’m actually drinking a cup of Pumpkin Chai while reading this. Seems very fitting.

    • Thanks David. Online school is working perfectly for my son. He loves it actually. He does miss P.E. & playing with his friends but overall, it’s been great. His teachers are really trying to ensure the kids gets only the best.

      • I’m glad your son is doing well with virtual learning. Around here it’s been a mixed bag.

        • It’s easier for Generation Z to adjust to online education than their parents. It’s also hard for parents with younger kids and had to work. There’s no perfect solution nor compromise with schooling while the pandemic is on going. One group of parents , including the teachers are afraid for their lives, while the other group feel its best kids go back to classroom learning. Overall, I think safety for all should be a common ground. We can’t please everyone but pleasing has nothing to do in saving lives. I’m just glad our California Governor made a stand & our school district did not give in to the political pressure.
